Be ready boys and girls, the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars are almost here. It hasn’t been since March 12, 2004 since the Premier Sprint Car series has seen Lonestar Speedway, but on this Friday the best of the best with the wings in the air will be back racing on the fastest ½ mile dirt track in Texas, Lonestar Speedway. With only a few races into the schedule the Hafertepe family is ready to bring on the big boys and open up the speedway for the “Greatest Show on Dirt.” Tickets are still available for this event under the schedule of the www.lonestarspeedway.com, so pick them up quick and lock yourself into the show. Racing with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars will be the Outlaw Modifieds all going for the $1000 to win $100 to start purse. General Admission tickets are $25 (children under 5 are free), the reserved section of seating is $30 and pit passes are $35. Pit Gates open at 2:00PM, Grandstands open at 4:00PM and the action starts at 7:30. Coolers with beer only are allowed in the stands for a $5.00 fee and must not exceed 14” x 14” x 14”. After a fantastic Grand Re-opening of the newly refurbished Lonestar Speedway, Sam and Lisa decided to have another race this Sunday the 5th of April. The races this Sunday will feature the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and the Factory Stocks. The format will be the same this Sunday as the races will begin at 3PM sharp, grandstands open at 1PM and the pit gates at noon. General Admission seating in the grandstands are $10, reserved seating $12, children under 5 are free and the Pit Passes are $25. Purchase your tickets today on www.lonestarspeedway.com and drivers, make sure you download the rules at the bottom of the site to make sure your car is up to Lonestar’s specifications. Don’t forget, the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars is coming to Kilgore next Friday on the 10th of this month! Make sure you reserve yourself a spot in the stands for that the tickets for the Outlaw show are also available on the Lonestar website.

This Sunday, March 29th will be the official Grand Re-Opening of the speedway featuring the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and the Factory Stocks. There will also be another practice day held this coming Friday from 6pm to 10pm before the re-opening that will feature all classes, pit gates open at 5pm. Grandstands are free and pit passes are $10.

Lonestar Speedway will be running an open practice this Friday the 20th of March as well as the 27th of March for anyone interested to check out the newly refurbished facility. This open practice will run from 6PM to 10PM both nights, pit passes are $10 and the grandstands are FREE. Last week’s SUPR Late Model Spectacular has been rescheduled for Friday night July 3rd as part of the season’s return which should make for a big holiday weekend of the fireworks both in the sky and on the track. We regret to announce that due to the large amounts of rain, we are canceling this Saturday's SUPR Late Model Event. The make up date for this event is still to be determined, so stay in tune with the website for future dates to be added to the schedule.
