NEXT RACE: DEC. 5 "STOCKING STUFFER 25" 2pm!

LSS Turkey 'axed', replaced with December 5th 'Stocking Stuffer 25' & Awards Bash!

Kilgore, TX (11/25/15) by DarinShort.com. 'Tis the season when a lot of turkeys get the ax, and now LoneStar Speedway's (LSS) Turkey Nationals is getting the ax from Mother Nature - as November 28th has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

However, we're not going to let Mother Nature's latest antics keep us all from doing what we love:

The current long-range forecast next week currently appears very suitable for racing, so we're moving forward with a replacement event, called the 'Stocking Stuffer 25' on Saturday December 5th at 2pm! Racers can come earn some extra Holiday cash, fans can donate to our Holiday Food Drive (and save $3 on adult tickets!) and we'll round out the full day of fun and action with our LSS Awards Bash!

This will be the final race of the season at LSS and a great purse structure is in place. The high-powered Modifieds will be racing for $1,250 to win and $120 to start, while the Limited Modified winner will take home $750 and it pays down to $70 to start. The exciting Factory Stocks will be gunning for $500 to win and $50 to start, and the 4-Cylinder division (recently added to the Turkey Nationals) will have their long-awaited race, paying $150 to win and $35 to start.

Hot laps December 5th fire off at 2pm, and we're estimating the races to finish by 7pm. Pits open at 11am, Grandstands at 1pm, Draw Cut-Off at 1:30pm.

Adult grandstand tickets are $15. Kids ages 6-11 are $5, while Seniors (ages 65+) and Active Military can take in the racing program for $12. All pit passes for all ages are $35.

Our annual Holiday Food Drive will also take place throughout the day, and Adults bringing a non-perishable food donation or new/unused toiletries donation will receive $3 off admission to this event! Just bring your donation to the ticket window, you'll be issued your discount right then, and we'll accept your donation.

The LoneStar Holiday Food Drive helps many area families in need, and each year we're proud of the LSS family for coming together to help with this great cause. The only difference this year, is there's a race on the same day!

Kids attending the event will be in store for some big fun, as we'll be having Christmas Stockings stuffed with presents that will be drawn from their ticket numbers! Prize drawings will take place throughout the races.

PLUS! Immediately following the races will be the LSS Awards Bash, honoring the top point's drivers in each of the LSS points divisions!

The top 10 drivers in the Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds will each receive (4) food/beverage tickets. Note that the concession stand will be open for one hour after the final checkers, so make sure to get your meal redeemed by then.

Race fans are encouraged to stay for the LSS Awards Bash so they can mingle and cheer on their favorite drivers as they accept their awards. There is no added charge to stay for the Awards Bash, and it will begin approximately 10 minutes after the final checkers. Again, the concession stands will remain open during the Awards Bash.

Here are some quick facts for the SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5th event:

LoneStar's $5,000/win Topless Turkey Nationals Set for November 28th

Kilgore TX (10/16/15) by DarinShort.com. The final SUPR Late Model Series event of 2015 will be the biggest paying, when the LoneStar Turkey Nationals hits the high banks of LoneStar Speedway (LSS) Saturday, November 28th. The feature race is 40 laps in distance and pays $5,000 to win and $500 to start. This is also the final LSS event of the 2015 season.

As in the past three years, the SUPR Late Model Series cars will race topless, giving race fans a clear view of the drivers as they wheel their cars around the wide, high-banked .33 mile oval.

The event is sponsored in part by P&W Sales located in Kilgore, Texas. P&W has been supplying drilling and oilfield products to the industry for over 50 years. P&W is also a proud sponsor of the 2013 LoneStar Turkey Nationals winner and 2015 Cotton Picken 100 winner, Morgan Bagley of Longview, TX.

Fans can expect an excellent field of Late Model division drivers including 2014 LoneStar Turkey Nationals winner Patrik Daniel, Jon Mitchell, B.J. Robinson, Rob Litton, Allen Tippen, Tyler Erb, Kody Barber, Rick Duke, Danny Zimmerman, Ronny Adams, Curt Lipsey, Robbie Stuart, David LaFleur, Robert Metz Jr, Shane Hebert, Ray Moore, Chandler Petty, Robert Baker, Brett Frazier, Derek Perkins; and a host of other great drivers from across the region.

Normal SUPR entry fees and non-qualifier payback are in effect. Other than the Late Model drivers required to being topless, all other SUPR rules and formats will be in effect.

In addition to the SUPR Late Model Series, a complete program of Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks will compete. There is no entry fee in the Modified, Limited Modified and Factory Stock divisions.

Modifieds will be racing for $1,200 to win and $120 to start; while the Limited Modified feature winner will take home $600 and pays down to $70 to start; and Factory Stocks will pay $400 to win and $50 to start. Complete purse breakdown is posted at the track website under the 'resources' section. Non-qualifier/non-starter payback is also set in the amounts of $50 for Modifieds, $30 to Limited Modifieds and $20 in the Factory Stocks.

FOUR DRIVERS WILL CLAIM A TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AT LONESTAR OCTOBER 10!

Kilgore TX (9/22/15) by DarinShort.com. The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products competitors will be on hand with a complete program of heats and feature races. LSS is offering up a great competitor purse of $3,000 to win and $300 to start to ASCS teams. Any non-starters or non-qualifiers will each receive $100.

And for the first time ever, Non-Winged Sprint Cars will take on the LSS high banks! The Elite Non-Wing Sprint Car Series will host their final event of 2015 at LSS on October 10th. Elite Series drivers such as John Ricketts, Johnny Miller, Thomas Johnson, Dustin Gates, Sebie Davis, Robert Vetter, Jeff Day, Michael Day, Steven Elliott, Chris Clark, Michelle Melton, Jeff Day Jr., Charlie McDonald, David Burke, Justin Melton, Carl Large, David Garland, Mitchell Clement, Ryan Hall, Cody Robbins, Josh McCord, Richard Miller, Justin Fifield and Dalton Stevens are possible, as well as several other non-winged drivers from throughout the region. But that's just half of the action at LSS on October 10th!

It is also the Texas State Championship for the Factory Stocks and the Limited Modifieds! Each division will be racing for $1,000 to win and $100 to start. Here's the complete breakdown for each division: $1,000 - 500 - 400 - 300 - 260 - 220 - 200 - 180 - 160 - 140 - 120 - 100...to start. Non-starters and non-qualifiers in the Limited Modifieds will each receive $30, while Factory Stock non-starters and non-qualifiers will collect $20.

Additionally, there are no LSS entry fees or track fees due from any of the four racing divisions...just your pit pass gets you in!

Besides the jumbo payday in each of the Texas State Championship divisions, beautiful, custom and Texas-sized trophies will be presented to each winner.

And the best part for the race fans: you can take in all of this action for just $17!
