Lanigan leads World of Outlaws LMS teams' assault on LoneStar March 28

Kilgore, TX (3/19/14) by DarinShort.com. Next Friday, March 28th, the top Late Model touring drivers in the nation will take on the high banks of LoneStar Speedway (LSS) in the 4th Annual High Banks Havoc.

A massive purse is posted, with $10,000 earmarked for the winner of the 50 lap World of Outlaws LMS (WoOLMS) event.

After a month break in the WoOLMS schedule, leading the hungry pack of Outlaw teams to LSS is Darrell Lanigan, who recently unveiled Club 29 Race Cars. Lanigan has already picked up three wins in 2014, including one in WoOLMS competition with the new car.

Following Kentucky's Lanigan in WoOLMS points, is Illinois lead foot Brandon Sheppard, who has been substituting for Rocket Chassis house car driver Josh Richards since the beginning of the season. The 2013 WoOLMS champion has been out with medical issues.

Completing the top 10 in WoOLMS points, include drivers: Brady Smith (WI), Rick Eckert (PA), Tim Fuller (NY), Shane Clanton (GA), Ivedent Lloyd Jr. (FL), Tim McCreadie (NY), Morgan Bagley (TX) and Frankie Heckenast Jr. (IL).

Bagley, driver of the P&W Iron Works, P&W Sales, Rocket Chassis is on a real ‘Texas’ streak coming into this event. He picked up the $5,000 to win Turkey Nationals at LoneStar Speedway (the last Late Model event at LSS, held on Nov. 30), and took home the checkers at Texas Motor Speedway’s Port-A-Cool® World Dirt Track Championship two weeks ago.

With much of the nation’s Late Model schedule being dormant on this date, fans can expect a strong contingent of touring invaders for this event. An excellent field of WoOLMS cars will be on hand.

The current 10-day forecasts show dry and temperatures in the 70’s, which will make for spectacular racing conditions.

Visit www.darinshort.com/woo.html and in a few clicks you will have seats in the Reserved Section waiting for you upon your arrival at the speedway on race night March 28. There, you can also view the event flyer.

With the early start time (6pm), if you are concerned about getting to LoneStar at an early time on race night, we recommend you purchase advance Reserve Section tickets now, ensuring you a great seat for the event.

Adult Reserved Section seating to this event is just $30, and there are no online ticket processing fees or any other cost involved to purchase them at the link above. All kids, all ages 11 and under, Reserved Section tickets are available for $15 at the same link above.

General admission ticket prices will be $25 for adults on race night, and kids ages 11 and under will be $10. GA tickets will only be available for purchase on race day at the ticket window. All pit passes, all ages, are $35.

Time trials, heat races and a B-feature will prelude their championship event, which is currently scheduled to be the second feature race out of the night.

Friday March 28th is also the championship point’s opener for the $1,200 to win Modifieds, $600 to win Limited Modifieds and $400 to win Factory Stocks. There is no entry fee for this special event to the LSS points divisions. Driver registration is just $30 for the season, and those proceeds go into the $10,000+ LSS Drivers Points Fund. An incredible $13,000 in cash was paid out to LSS high point drivers in 2013.

LSS points drivers can click www.darinshort.com/lss.html to get their teams registered now, thus saving everyone time on race night. We highly encourage drivers to get their cars registered prior to race night, as we are going to stay on schedule on race night.
