3rd Annual LoneStar Patriot Day SUPR Late Model Series Sept. 10

Kilgore TX (9/1/11) by DarinShort.com. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate during Patriot Day weekend, look no further than Lone Star Speedway. O’Reilly SUPR Late Models and three support divisions will greet racing fans at the high banked 3/8 mile speed plant Saturday, September 10th.

A full field of O’Reilly SUPR Late Models will be on hand, and you can expect to see Morgan Bagley, Timothy Culp, Allen Tippen, Kevin Sitton, Robert Litton, Robbie Starnes, Howard "Ray" Moore II, Chris Holley, Robbie Stuart, Ronny Adams and many more battle it out.

Plus, The LoneStar Speedway Racing Auxiliary is selling raffle tickets @ $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. All proceeds benefit our LoneStar Speedway driver's fund. There are over 10 prizes, and the complete promotion flyer is listed under 'Resources' at the right side of the track website.

The drawing will be held September 10, 2011 during the Patriot Day Racing Tribute at LoneStar Speedway.

In addition to the O’Reilly SUPR Late Models and the Raffle drawing, a complete program of Limited Modified, Dirt Stocks and Factory Stocks will compete. Their purse and rules are located at the track website.

Here are some quick facts for the event:

-Gates open at 5pm, with racing at 7:30pm.
-General Admission $15 (ages 12 and older)
-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5
-Ages 5 and under admitted free with adult admission
-Military or Seniors (Ages 65+) General Admission $13
-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section for $5 per person
-All Pit Passes $30
-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside, a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available.

The LoneStar Speedway Racing Auxiliary is going full speed!

The purpose of the auxiliary is to benefit the drivers of LoneStar Speedway.

All proceeds will help with a driver's points fund, annual awards banquet, emergency fund that aides injured or sick drivers; & others.

Members are using their time, creativity, & passion for racing for various duties such as 50/50 ticket sales, bake sales, raffles, & other FUNdraisers throughout the year.

If you’d like more information on becoming a member, just ask the attendant at the auxiliary table when you’re getting your raffle tickets.

Please help us keep LoneStar Speedway THE place to race!!!

ROUND 3: Thunder on the High Banks, August 27 at LoneStar Speedway

Kilgore TX (8/15/11) by DarinShort.com. The Southern Thunder Sprints (STS) make their final LoneStar Speedway (LSS) appearance of the 2011 racing season on Saturday, August 27th with the 3rd Round of “Thunder on the High Banks.”

A solid field of STS Sprint Cars will be on hand, and you can expect to see drivers such as Koty Adams, Josh Hawkins, Derek Weaver, Cody Robbins, Billy Page, Russell Enright and many more battle it out.

In addition to the STS Sprint Cars; Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Dirt Stocks and Factory Stocks will have a complete racing program of heats and feature races. Rules and purses and rules are posted at the track website.

Lang Takes ASCS Lone Star Win at Kilgore!

Lonnie Wheatley, KILGORE, Texas (June 11, 2011) – Michael Lang captured his first career American Sprint Car Series feature win by racing to victory lane in Saturday night’s 25-lap The Oil Medics ASCS Lone Star main event at Lone Star Speedway.

Lang gunned into the lead at the outset and led all the way aboard the Palm Harbor Homes No. 14 to post the victory.

Lang was chased to the stripe by Chad Wilson, with current Lone Star points leader Matt Covington, defending champion Eric Baldaccini and 11th-starter Kevin Ramey rounding out the top five.

Gary Floyd was sixth, with Justin Melton, Claud Estes, Evan Pardo and Martin Edwards completing the top ten.

Baldaccini and Wilson won the heat races.
